Christine Callahan is a licensed attorney and mediator, who has been enjoying time in Summit County since the '70's. Her passion is empowering people to be their own advocates. With over 14 years of experience in the legal profession, she provides respectful processes for people to solve complicated problems. She has participated in extensive training working with high conflict individuals. Christine strives to bring harmony to emotionally charged situations.

Christine is a licensed attorney in Colorado and Minnesota; she is a Rule 114 qualified neutral in MN, and an Early Neutral Evaluator.

Education and Experience

Born and raised in a Chicago suburb, Christine has spent virtually her entire life coming to Summit County to ski and enjoy the mountains every summer. After a career in adult education, Christine went to law school in Minneapolis and has practiced family law, estate planning, and served a mediator for the last 14 years. She has extensive training and experience in mediation. She has taught continuing legal education classes to other attorneys in Colorado and in Minnesota specifically in the area of mediation.

She graduated from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis where she represented clients in political asylum and other immigration related matters as a volunteer student attorney. Christine received her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (English and German) from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Christine worked in insurance defense with GEICO, her father’s law firm in Illinois, and a law firm in Minneapolis. She represented clients in medical malpractice, personal injury/car accidents, construction, commercial liability and homeowner’s liability. Christine opened a family law practice in 2010 focusing on family law and estate planning.

Christine is the proud parent of three sons and two mountain dogs. She enjoys skiing, hiking, kayaking, golfing, and just being outside.

In addition to her work representing individual clients, Christine has served on several non-profit organization boards and has done extensive fund raising and grant writing. Christine’s passion is empowering others and being an advocate for her clients.
