Christine Callahan offers a flat rate for drafting a judgment and decree and the other related documents to file for an uncontested divorce. If you and your spouse have reached an agreement on how to divide property, on child support and/or spousal maintenance, and on custody and parenting time, we can draft all the documents you need to file for divorce. It is not necessary to have an attorney in Colorado to get a divorce, but it's good to have an attorney draft documents for this life-altering event. An attorney cannot represent both parties in a divorce so the offer for the unbundled service of drafting and filing divorce documents is legally provided to one spouse. Once you retain us for this fixed fee service, we send you a checklist and an intake form so we get all the information we need to draft an agreement which will meet all the legal requirements in Colorado and we will file it with the court for you. The flat rate fee does not include appearances made in court, and is considered an unbundled service, which limits the scope of representation. Generally, people who can reach an amicable resolution in their divorce do not need an attorney to appear in court; avoiding that cost is a wise decision. You have better ways to spend your money!
